Satan's Carnival

Stumbleupon keeps pulling up pictures from Rios carnival so I decided that Old Scratch needed some showgirls of his own. This is the first time I have sat down and gone through the Chris Conn book step by step since I went to his seminar, and though it is still in the rough stages I am feeling much better about my results.

Chloe (update)

I had a chance to go back into Chloe's leg and rework the brown and red in her vulture a bit. Here is the final outcome.

We are still here

So either judgment day didn't happen or I do not know a single person pious enough to be included in the rapture. Both are entirely possible. I only ended up doing a few of the special tattoos with the inverted doom cross being the popular one. A few of the coworkers are gonna get stuff of the sheet soon though since we are all still here. (once again please excuse the shitty cellphone pics.)

The big flash sheet I've been working on is finished and I am reasonably happy with it. Tomorrow I will finish making the frame for it and figure out where the hell to put it.

Our shop boy is a good sport. He has let the tattooers do random stencil-less nonsense on him when we got truly bored, and puts up with being used as gym equipment. He also let me do a metal-as-fuck horned skull on his calf.

Started this on a friend a couple days ago. He sat like a champ, and I can't wait to do more work on it. With the big move coming up soon this will be the last multi session piece I will be doing. Sorry for the shitty picture but my real cameras battery died.

Firecracker!

There is a tradition at the shop that once you have worked with us for a year you get a firecracker tattoo. Ali just joined the ranks:

Nothing super exciting I know, but I like doing these little fun tattoos. Alex and Chloe will both be earning theirs soon too.

Automat Kalashnikov

I like tattoos. Also I like all things mechanical. This most certainly includes firearms, be they modern or antique. The AK-47 actually kind of fits into both of those categories. And so I was plenty happy to make a tattoo of one:

Despite the rose, this guy was not of the hippy persuasion and is actually in the process of putting together a rifle of his own.
